Whatever happened to westerns?  About twenty years ago (give or take) westerns began to die out.  Before that, they ruled movies, TV, and novels.  I liked 'em, even the old shootemups with Gene, Hoppy, and Roy.

Was a time when the classic westerns of movies, TV, and novels would have romance, adventure, action, and suspense.  But in later years, they turned psychological, as in many episodes of Bonanza, Have Gun Will Travel, and even Gunsmoke.  Maybe that's what killed westerns.

Anyhoo, I wish they'd make a comeback.

Well there is a satellite station that just shows Westerns so I guess they are not as dead as you think.

When I was in California State Prisons I saw that this genre is still alive, well and very popular (five years ago) I don't know if the Pathfinder series and other series are still around, but hey they are the male counterpart to the romance genre....

When at a loss for words, wing it.
