I wholeheartedly agree, George. Terri did a great job in pointing out how addictive alcohol can be. I guess nearly all of us have had someone close to us who were--or are--alcoholics. |

Good story! I like the way it starts slowly with Portia not believing that she needs help but in the end, realizes that she's in the right place after all. Nice going. | |||

I think this story was a good portrayal of alcoholism. There was one thing that I think would help make it more powerful. In the story, she does a flashback. I kind of wanted the story to start there. It would have been a nice place to start at the beginning of the end and end and the beginning of an alcohol free life. It's a story of denial, then acceptance, then the first step on a new path, so I think it is important to establish all of those scenes fully. |
